COVID-19: How does it affect me?

Much is happening in Denmark and the world at the moment due to the COVID-19 virus. Many contries have closed their borders, schools, restaurants and stores and the everyday life has in generel changed from what we are used to.

How does this affect my search for a home?

Are you already situated in Denmark, you can continue your search for a home as normal. You can search for accommodation as always and contact the landlords as always.
We urge you to consider the Danish Government’s guidelines for behaviour, so you nor the landlords risk any infection of the virus.

What to do!

You can search and contact the landlords as normally. That’s the beauty of an online portal
For viewings of a place you are interested in we suggest:

- Online viewing. Instead of seeing the place in person, arrange a skype meeting where you both see the landlord and the room.
- Keep your distance. If you arrange a meeting face to face at the apartment, make sure to always keep a 1-2 meters distance to each other. Don’t make physical contact and remember your hand sanitiser just in case.
- Walk and talk. An alternative to the two options above is to have a viewing of the room and apartment online through skype and then you can afterwards meet face to face in the nature for a walk so you can get to know each other better. Naturally still keep your distance!

We already see that many of our landlords have adapted to the new situation and welcome skype viewings. So it should be no problem continuing your search for accommodation!

If you live abroad!
If you are not situated in Denmark yet and are searching for a room in Denmark, make sure to check if you are even able to enter the country before you come. The borders are closed for unnecessary visits, so you won’t be allowed into the country if you don’t have a meaningful purpose.
